FAQ

1. What do I need to bring?
A current vaccination certificate, C5 for dogs, F3 for cats. The certificate must be no more than 12 months old. For the Bungalow accommodation you may bring some bedding. If your dog wears a jacket during the cooler months please ensure this is clearly labeled and bring it with him. You may also bring a toy for him. Please understand that the kennel does not accept any responsibility for any goods brought into the kennels.

2. What methods of payment do you accept?
Cash, credit cards, EFTPOS . We do accept cheques but only on arrival provided there is time for cheque clearance

3. Is there a minimum stay?
Except for peak holiday times there is no minimum. Over peak times there is a minimum time so check with a team member.

4. May my two dogs be housed together?
Yes we recommend this as they will be much happier if kept together

5. When can I inspect the facility?
Inspections are welcome any weekday between 9.00am & 4.00pm and weekends 9.00am – 12 noon. No appointment is necessary during these times. Please note there are no inspections allowed during peak boarding times due to EPA regulations.

6. My dogs can be aggressive to other dogs.
If you are not comfortable with your dog sharing he can have his own unit and be exercised on his own.

7. Is a deposit required?
We only ask for a deposit to confirm any bookings during the peak times of Christmas & Easter .

8. Is there a minimum stay during peak times?
Yes over Christmas the minimum booking is 7 nights and over Easter 5 nights.

9. Are there any days the kennel is not open?
Yes. Between Christmas and New Year we are only open on the 27th and the 31st of December.
We are also closed on New Years Day.
Over Easter we take in our last guests on Easter Thursday and do not re open for Delivery or Collection until Easter Tuesday.

10. I often hear of dogs contracting canine cough whilst holidaying.
Yes your dog is vaccinated against Canine Cough (Kennel Cough) but this does not give total immunity. Just as the human flue vaccine only reduces the severity of the symptoms so to with Canine Cough vaccine. Many people believe Canine cough can only be found in kennels but be aware that this is an air borne virus that can travel for up to 5 kilometres so even at home or at the park your dog can still be at risk.
